Young-Gon Kim, PhD, is the director of the medical vision lab and deputy director, Office for AI analysis and AI clinical trial of SNUH’s Innovative Medical Technology Research Institute. He is an assistant professor in Transdisciplinary Department of Medicine and Advanced Technology, Seoul National University Hospital, and an adjunct professor in the Department of Medicine, Seoul National University College of Medicine. He is also teaching Computer Vision and Deep Learning as a NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute instructor. He previously served as a senior developer for LG Electronics. He optimized android framework modules for image/video codec and image processing in android OS from 2012 to 2016. His research interest is to develop a machine/deep learning-based model for accurate and fast diagnosis with medical data including unstructured data such as radiology images (CXR, CT, MRI), pathology images (H&E/IHC digital pathology image), ophthalmology images (fundus and cornea image, OCT image), endoscopy images, neurology signal data (EEG signal), and structured data such as EMR/EHR and tabular data.
